E-commerce agency
How an e-commerce agency green-lights 57% of its leads and books 150 appointments a month
Easycom's AI agent reads every conversation, decides who's worth a salesperson's time, and puts the appointment straight on the calendar. The sales team stopped being a filter and started being closers.
Easycom Italia Shopify & e-commerce marketing agency · 6 min read What they wanted
- Work every lead, inbound and outbound, without adding headcount
- Separate the shop owners ready to start from the curious who never will
- Stop the sales team from burning hours on contacts that go nowhere
- Hand sales a shortlist of qualified, ready-to-book leads instead of a raw list
What we built
- An AI agent on WhatsApp that answers every inbound lead and runs the outbound follow-ups
- Automatic profiling on each contact, so it qualifies before a salesperson is involved
- Only qualified, appointment-ready leads reach a human. The rest are screened out.
- Live in about a week and a half. A fast switch-on, not a long project.
Who Easycom is
Easycom Italia builds and grows Shopify stores for clothing and fashion brands, and has taken over 250 shops online. That work pulls in a heavy daily flow of leads on WhatsApp: shop owners who want to sell online, people just window-shopping the idea, and everything in between. The volume is the whole point of the business. It was also the whole problem.
The problem: reps spend their best hours on people who never buy
An agency like Easycom lives on lead flow. But raw lead flow is a mixed bag. A few contacts are shop owners ready to start today. Many are curious, comparing, or just poking at the idea of selling online. They all land in the same WhatsApp inbox, and they all look the same at first message.
So the sales team does what any team does under pressure. It works the list top to bottom. It spends real minutes drawing out someone who was never going to open a store, then reaches the owner who was ready to sign an hour late, or the next day, or never. The good lead didn't wave a flag. It sat in the pile looking exactly like the noise around it.
None of this shows up as a loss. No report has a line for the ready buyer who got a slow reply and went with someone else. It just looks like a normal week with a normal close rate. The cost is invisible, which is why nobody fixes it.
The solution: the agent screens, the team closes
An AI agent on WhatsApp that works both sides of the flow: it answers every inbound lead and runs the outbound follow-ups, profiling each one before a salesperson is involved.
The message that used to sit unanswered now gets worked in seconds
The agent picks up every conversation the moment it lands, inbound or outbound. In 2025 that meant 8,501 conversations started and 7,048 leads pulled into a real exchange. Nothing waits for a salesperson to have a free minute.
The bot does the screening your salespeople shouldn't be doing
Every lead gets profiled before it reaches a person. In 2025 the agent completed profiling on 3,502 leads and qualified 2,008 of them. The other 1,494 were screened out right there. Add the leads that never made it past the first exchange, and the sales team's desk went from 8,501 contacts to 2,008 worth their time. That's 6,493 conversations they never had to have.
Half of every qualified lead turns into a booked appointment
Of the 2,008 leads the agent qualified in 2025, 1,090 booked an appointment. That's 54%, better than one in two. And the appointment gets set by the agent, not by a salesperson playing scheduler. The team walks in to a calendar of people who already said yes.
The results: 6,493 conversations the team never had to have
In 2025 Easycom's agent started 8,501 conversations, qualified 2,008 leads, and booked 1,090 appointments. The number that changed the workday isn't the appointments, it's the 6,493 conversations the sales team never had to touch. They stopped being a filter and started being closers.
And it didn't slow down. In the first half of 2026 the agent booked 903 more appointments, a peak of about 150 a month, holding the same one-in-two close rate on qualified leads. Across the full period, from 1 January 2025 to 1 July 2026, that's 15,330 conversations worked and nearly 2,000 appointments booked. The screening held steady across 18 months and a rising volume.
There's a quieter number underneath all this. Those 6,493 conversations the sales team never had to open would have taken about five minutes each just to size up. By Easycom's own estimate that's roughly 540 hours in 2025, close to 45 hours a month of selling time handed back, and that's only counting the leads it screened out, not the ones it booked.
Before Irelia, with so many leads every day, we risked losing some or spending too much time on contacts who weren't genuinely interested. With Irelia, we can instantly spot the engaged leads and focus on the ones ready to move forward, maximizing our time and boosting conversions.
